Just noticed that site: is no longer showing supplemental pages. (And this is happening without the trailing / )

Anyone else seeing this?

If this sticks, I would guess that this is either a big clean out of supplemental pages or Google has changed what they are displaying with site:

Three weeks ago, Google did clean all of the away Supplemental pages that were older then 2005 June.

Adding and removing the trailing / also made a difference, but having been away for a week I have not checked to see if that is fixed yet.

Agree with decaff until about a week ago, some DC's try www.google.com.au return same 'about' figure for both searchs ( includes supplemental ), with slash however supplementals not displayed.

I guess others are not seeing what I am seeing but I can confirm that I am seeing all supplementals gone (I am in Canada.)

I am aware of the trailing / and as my first post said, I am seeing supplementals gone with or without the trailing slash. They are all gone for me and I have checked about 10 sites with many different owners.

I think others are not seeing it because of the datacenters they are hitting. My guess is that what I am seeing may start to filter through to other datacenters soon.

Google did clean up all Supplemental Results dated older than (before) 2005 June just a few weeks ago.

There are several detailed posts about that, posted in late May, in this forum.

They have cleaned it out in May, but it's back now.

If I do a site: search with or w/o / I get 520 pages.

Almost 500 pages are supplemental results..

>> Almost 500 pages are supplemental results.. <<

That is as maybe, but my point is that none of them will be dated before 2005 June.

g1smd, I hear what you are saying about June 2005 but I am seeing no supplemental pages at all, for any site, whether it was before 2005 or not.

For example, I am following a site that had approximately 75 pages cached up until a few months ago. Google started de-indexing pages and the site command dropped the page count to about 25 pages. About half of those 25 pages were supplemental. In the last few days, doing site: shows only 12 pages, the supplmental pages are no longer showing (with our without the trailing /).

The pages that Google is no longer showing were created in 2006. The site belongs to a small business and the pages are clean.

I am seeing this on every site I check, no supplemental pages, they are all gone regardless of the type of site, size of site or when the pages were created.

Someone elese who live in my city (different ISP) is not seeing what I am seeing, but I am seeing it for sure.

Sorry to disappoint you, but after Google fixed the hyphenated domain problem, I have supplementals back for my site which are dated 26 January 2005. This is for a domain with one hyphen in it. Until some weeks ago it showed about 100 supplementals. After Google's problems all supplementals were gone in the site: search. I hoped they finally removed these supplementals, but now about 20 of them are back where many of them have a cache date of 2005 January.

Yeah, supplementals back to at least December 2004 for a hyphenated domain. It appears nothing was removed, but like the URL tool, they just hid the garbage, but now aparently out of desperation they "help" by dumping the garbage back into the index.

Pre-june supplemental dates still appearing:

7-Feb-05
18-Feb-05
19-Feb-05

21-Feb-05
22-Feb-05
22-Feb-05
23-Feb-05

From a random sample of around 30 pages.

A month ago, around 1600 pages, now -800.

site: without trailing / 788 many supplemental

With / 471 returns, only 13 actually listed.

Hmmm. They fix one thing by breaking something else. That is not good.
