Does anyone know of a way to stop page Hijacking. I have many number one spots on googles that now point to another URL and not mine. ( Cache still is my site ). This has happen to me 3 time now and it takes months to return to normal. I have had these number one spots for many years now and I get no help from googles.

This can be a tough situation. There are a number of exploits out there, and also sometimes Google just gets buggy.

Can you see any obvious reason why the hijacking pages are getting confused with your pages? If so, send that information to Google, it may help them figure it out. It is important to be precise in the information you send them, but also as "short and sweet" as possible. Extraneous details of any kind make it hard for your email to get noticed.

Do any of those sites point a 302 redirect or anything similar at your site?

This was a big problem a year ago; and which Google thinks that they have fixed a long time ago.

Is the title for another site and the description, url and cache for your site? If you are on Shared Hosting then Google is mixing up sites under the same IP address. In this case just request your host upgrade you to a dedicated IP and also tell google. This is usually fixed in a few days.

If the title goes to another site and also redirects to another site but your site appears in the cache then it may be a 302 redirect. Check that link in a server header checker for proof it's a 302 (If there is code saying it's a session ID it may just be a tracking script and not a deliberate 302 but may mess up your listing regardless). Search for "how to find a 302 redirect" for more info on reporting those.

I use 301 redirects.
