Suppose my website name is ab-cde.com

The dash is confusing search results

When I search in google for "ab-cde.com"
it shows perfect results on the first page, but page two onwards it mostly shows results of ab cde com

I had no option other than to have the dash in the title (since abcde.com was taken for some other use).

Can I do something to get exact search results for ab-cde.com while searching on google and not get ab cde com in there too?

This is only for my own curiosity to see how many pages my website shows up on.

Does site:ab-cde.com behave correctly for you?

No, it only gave me three hits (although all were correct).

This is a known bug with Google. Vanessa Fox mentioned it a few days ago. There are several other threads here with more details.
