well i think the subject's descripe my problems pretty good

there aint no indexing. why? its like google ignores me site.

i have a sitemap set up and working which google accepts and reads all the time but site:www.example.com shows 200 pages (pathetic) when theres more than 500,000 one's!

how can this be and how do i fix it?

I'm afraid that sitemap or no sitemap, you cannot get 500,000 pages indexed just like that. Sandbox or no sandbox, and even with very high quality inbound links it can take months to get even close to that figure.

As I just mentioned in another post; the sitemap is not a license to get indexed. It is simply another discovery mechanism for googlebot to learn about URLs.

The other point is that there is a lot of flux going on within Google at the moment; and it just happens to have coincided with the sitemaps service becoming popular; or perhaps people are turning to sitemaps as a result of being "knocked back" by those changes.

Either way; there are as many threads discussing lack of indexing or having thousands of pages dropped where there is no sitemap involvement, so I don't think there is any evidence to suggest that sitemaps are having a negative effect.

Well, I suppose you don't have original content or this are dynamically generated pages.

Perhaps if/when you pay them for this:

They might consider :)

500,000 pages. All "original" content I assume?
