I have a small dynamic catalog based website that lost all its ranking since the big daddy update. Now the only page listed is the domain itself. I experimented and made one html "doorway" page for one specific product that had the exact content of a dynamic page and put a link to my catalog. It was indexed and listed within one day. So my question is why should I be forced to duplicate my entire site in order to get properly listed?

If you read Google's Webmasters Technical Guidelines it states "Don't use "&id=" as a parameter in your URLs, as we don't include these pages in our index. "

What you need to do is make an XML site map of all your pages and submit it to google.

Register with Google, login, setup your site and submit your sitemap.

Just go to Google and search for "How to make google sitemap.xml" and your dynamic pages will be listed.
