Key page gone AWOL

Weird version of disappearance

Over the past 2 months I've noticed two of my key pages have disappeared in a weird way from Google. This particular site has over 20,000 pages so you'd think two wouldn't make a difference but it does if these two are your major players.

Here's some weird things that have happened.

- Pages show up if you type their url directly into google
- Pages don't show up in a site: search except in the first month of their AWOLness where they appear dead last (after all the other thousands of pages)
- One of the two pages had a thief directly copy it which I think was what lead to this happening (now the copy has been removed)

What, if anything, can be done to rectify the situation and hopefully gain back the rankings of these key pages.

Is it worth creating a new file with the same contents and 301'ing the old to the new?
