Hallo,

I really need your help in this urgent matter. We are facing a legal matter and cannot be allowed to use the words in our title. What's the fastest way to change my website page's title in Google search result?

I already used the update listing in www.dmoz.org/cgi-bin/update.cgi and in dmoz's list the update has been conducted.

When will the new title appear in Google and so the current title is replaced? FYI, at the moment when we enter <the contested keywords>, in the search results the title hasn't changed.

If I use the automatic URL removal system in Google which is provided for urgent cases, and after that resubmit the same URL to Google with a new page title, how long will it take for the URL to be indexed? What's about to happen to the page rank?

Thanks a lot!

Puri

Using the removal tool will mean that the url vanishes from Google for a minimum of 6 months. If you've already changed your page's title on the server, and also changed the DMOZ description, then I would probably just wait for Google to reflect those changes -- especially if they are for the Home Page.

In the past those changes have usually happened within a few days, although crawling and indexing do seem a bit snarled up right now for some.

Just change the title. I changed a bunch of mine yesterday and google shows the new title today.
