Hi,

We were down December 27th, returned March 29th and last Friday, we noticed some odd behavior and sure enough, we vanished again. However, this time things are different.

1) For our primary keyword search there used to be about 150 million results. Suddenly, on Friday it jumped to 300 to almost 500 million results.

2) We are still anchored. The last times this happened, we lost our anchor until we returned.

3) When we do site:www.oursite.com, our index is still the first result. This was not the case for 3 months when we were down before.

4)About 2 days before we went down again last Friday night, I noticed that when you did a site search, Google didn't seem to have the cache at all. That seemed to resolve rather quickly but I was surprised to see it as we never saw that before.

All in all, things look rather healthy with our site but the results on Google have swelled to huge numbers and not include us. A small handful of the datacenters still have us but they are not showing these very high result numbers like the rest of the datacenters.

Our current robots.txt file seems to be working properly. (We think)

User-agent: *
Disallow:
User-agent: Googlebot
Disallow: /*.shtml$
Disallow: /store.html

We do have a Google sitemap set up and it checks properly as "Allowed" so I don't think that is causing our problem.

Does anyone know of weird behavior stirring over the weekend? Is anyone else seeing anything like this?

Any thoughts are greatly appreciated. It was nice to be back up and running for a month there.

Cheers,
