Google Bug in backlinks - results are for the wrong domain

Here's the situation:

There are two companies with two different domains.

One company, we'll call <A>, is active, has about 200+ backlinks in Google.

Then eventually a new website was created, we'll call it <B>. <B> shows with a link: search all of the backlinks for <A> and does NOT show the backlinks that should be showing up for <B>. None of the websites showing up in this backlink analysis even link to <B>- they only link to <A>.

This was recognized a few months ago, and we were hoping that with all of the Google activity recently that it would sort itself out, but no dice...

<B> and <A> are on completely seperate IP addresses and C-blocks. <B> is on a dedicated, <A> is on a virtual.

It's VERY frustrating and only Google comes up this way. Yahoo and MSN do everything as normal.

Any ideas/theories/suggestions?

Thanks!
