Google Blog Search: trouble getting listed

I run a blog about marketing. I have a decent number of readers, get picked up from time to time by other blogs, use moveable type, and have followed Google's recommended structure (as well as sending pings for every new post to all the non-specialized pingomatic.com sites)... and still can't get picked up by Google Blog Search.

I'm not running ads, either, Google's or otherwise.

What's worse, scraper sites are turning up on Google Blog Search with my re-aggregated entries, linking back to my blog, but my own blog somehow doesn't show up.

My blog *has* been listed in the past, but that was several months ago. I still don't know why my blog was delisted; I contacted blogsearch-support, but they gave me the brush off.

Anybody have any advice, tips or tricks? Is there perhaps something I'm doing wrong that I haven't considered, or something I'm not doing that I should be? Any help is much appreciated.

Are you getting hits from Google blog bot in your logs? The user agent is "Feedfetcher-Google; (+http://www.google.com/feedfetcher.html)". It should specifically be hitting your RSS feed URLs (usually something like atom.xml and index.xml). If you're using a custom MT layout, you should check that you have meta tags and links pointing to those files too.

I'm getting no hits from Feedfetcher-Google. The standard Google bot, yes, but not Feedfetcher.

I have an XML button and a "subscribe" link that links to the XML file...is there more I should be doing, ie, is there another way people have tried to force Feedfetcher to pay attention?
