Hi all

First time post and great forum!
Just wondered if anybody had ever seen this before? its the first time i have ever seen it and wondered if it was in realtion to whats happened to BMW.

I had done some optimisation for a motorcar dealer and got this email, subsequently nothing has happened to the site yet, but has anybody ever encountered the below?

<paraphrased>

Email from the Google Search Quality Team, saying that some of
my pages we removed from the index because I used techniques
that were outside their webmaster guidelines-- and telling me how
be reincluded once I fixed the issue.

your help will be much appreciated, this is defintaly the first time i have ever encountered Google doing this.

Thanks
Dave

Hi davefholding, welcome to Webmaster World [webmasterworld.com].

Google started sending these notices a few months ago to give webmasters a heads up when they find pages outside the guidelines. They usually involve hidden text issues, but that's not to say they haven't expanded it to include other areas.

There's not much you can do right now except to go through your site with a fine toothed comb. You have to root out and correct any questionable techniques that might have been used, then send the reinclusion request to Google explaining what steps you've taken (with a very sincere promise to never, ever do it again -- or get caught at it).

Good luck!
