12 days late - optimizing roof ads for Google Maps

This actually has me thinking of ways to use Google Maps for marketing. Certainly someone could get short-term publicity with a stunt. Is it possible to get lasting traffic from satellite images, however--especially if rooftop advertising becomes common?

Ideas off the top of my head:

- Create a Google Maps scavenger hunt, maybe with placed objects, existing objects, or both. Perhaps finding all the objects will give people a key to enter on the promoter's web site to get a prize. For longevity, the hunt should be fun and a bit difficult. I'm thinking of objects that take advantage of optical illusions or only appear at a certain time of day when the shadows are right.

- Design some kind of beautiful or interesting artwork that would become an aerial landmark and draw perennial interest. Sort of a long-term crop circle. A satellite-oriented Eiffel Tower. Something that advertises beautifully and subtly without being an eyesore.
