Sitemap > 100 Link. Other sitemaps naming?

I have sitemap.html (not google sitemap) and I have 100+ links.

I read that > 100 is dangerous.

So how can I name other sitemaps?

- sitemap-2.html
- sitemap2.html
- sitemap-b.html

Any help much appreciated.

The best advice that I read in this forum is to care rather about your visitors than about Google because Google tries to give the searchers the best experience.

So 100 links in one page is dangerous rather because 100 links in one page is often too much for the visitors and it may be signal for Google about the bad quality.

If your visitors don't care about the names of your site map pages, Google probably also does not care.

If you have more than 100, then yahoo and msn might have issues crawling. Keep that in mind....
