Last week my company was offered to buy a 1 year old site which looks good and has some traffic (not much).

However when I looked into the Google index, I saw ALL pages supplementals!
With a cache from back in june 2005 wowowowow, what is going on with this site?

Ok the site was definetely not properly SEO's at all but there was not trick, no unethical type of stuff at all.

Should I considered this site lost forever?

I wouldn't jump to any conclusions right now -- it could look very different in a week or two. Those symptoms describe what happened to a lot of sites during the Big Daddy rollout, and slowly but surely it looks like Google is fixing it.

Not saying this is definitely the case with the site you are looking at, but it sure sounds VERY familiar.

Yep I know it sounds familiar though I never saw it myself hapenning.

Google seems to keep on crawling the site, just that they don't pick up anything apparently, not sure what to do with this domain though since it doesn't even show up for the domain name itself. tough one! :)

Check the thread on supplemental hell there is a ton of information there but no sure fire solution of coming out.
