if you search our company name, we are listed, but the url that is displayed has not been in use for around 18 months after our move to an alternative e-commerce provider.
the same happens when you search for our title.
we have a link back to our home page on every page and in the site map.
this happened about 1 month ago.
is anyone else experience this? or does anyone have any ideas of how to get this page listed agin, maybe a high quality external link to our home page.
many thanks

Check on how those old urls are actually handled in the http server header. If you are returning a 200 OK, then those pages will stay in the index, no matter what content you are serving for them. And if many old urls return a 200, and all show the same page, then you are showing a lot of duplicate content to Google. Old urls should usually redirect with a 301 [permanent redirect] or show a 404 [not found] or a 410 [gone]
This is a condition I've seen many times with "custom" error pages and naively set up redirects, so it's worth a check. The syptoms you describe would fit this scenario.
