i have an old static page (htm) (with rank from google) but no links towards it anymore.
I have created a new page (html) with plenty of links (to page and from page) and of course with no rankings yet. This new page is created with the help of .htaccees (path is exacly the same as the old one, only diference is the extension .html instead of .htm which was the old page - this minor adjustment cant be avoided).
My question is this: which page will google consider more "ranking friendly"? Which page will get more visits from the bots? Is it worth to have a Disallow rule in my robots for the old page? Will this helps?
