Google Image - safe search

No nude images on the site, but google filteres 80% off

Do not filter my search results - if I push that botton, I recieve over 5000 image results, when the filter is on moderate I recieve 600 why, I dont have a single image with nudity, so how do they filter, what do they go for.

Hmm I thought this would have a bigger interest, because you can realy get some real visits from the image search, not as relevant as normal search but still ok results. Still this issue is open how do they make a choise to filter what images, as said non of my images are nude stuff.

Would it be enogh to get filtered if one write some naughty stuff in a comment to a image or how does this work.

Since googlebot can't "see" the image, it's drawing conclusions about what it shows from alt tags, the page text, titles, file names, incoming link text and so forth.

No one actually looks at the picture, they look at it's entourage. So certainly "naughty" tags could cause a problem. If you advertise the site on "naughty" sites, googlebot might think that's your neighborhood.

I would imagine that they will be very very careful with this filter because of the negative PR that could come from nudity showing when the filter is on. Thus they would rather filter out 1000 valid image to remove 1 nude image.
I would love to know how they make the judgement.
