Converting datafeed site into pure content site

Should I delete pages with Pagerank?

There's a site I have which was spun from a database. I'm planning to convert it into a pure content site.
It gets very little traffic and generates near zero revenue but has inward links from sites in the same industry. This site has many pages which have page rank 1-4. These pages are of no value to the user and a purist would delete them at the first opportunity.

I'm wondering if I should do the same but OTOH a link to the home page from each of these pages would maintain the PR of the home page which currently is 5. Then again PR is not as important as it used to be and I do have inward links from related sites. I'm confused! :) Please help!
