Quick question about Google sandboxing.

My site just tanked in the Google ranks and I believe the problem was when I cloaked another url to the site.

Am I correct to assume so, I haven't changed anything since then.

I've stopped the cloaking and Im wondering what are my chances of climbing back to the top ranks and how long it would take for me to recovery my previous ranking?
