Pagerank

why no pagerank

Hi!
My website has been up for a while now and i hawe some incomming links including open directory. The problem is that i get no pagerank att all. I dont understand why and how i should proceed to get it.
Any good suggestions and i will be wery thankful.

Hello Egon, and welcome to the forums.

PageRank (the kind that shows on the toolbar) is only updated a few times a year. In fact, right now something seems to be happening in that area, but not for maybe 5 months up to now. That may be why you have been frustrated.

However, PageRank (the kind that Google really uses behind the scenes to calculate search results) is updated continually. Once they find some links, the effect of those links is very soon blended into the results. You won't see it on the link: query or on the toolbar PR -- but you will see it in better traffic from Google -- and that's what counts.

Hello Egon, You should see page rank now. If not, will be about 6 months. In the meantime. Keep working on your site.
