Anyone know what the technical requirements are for inclusion in Google News? I know there's something to do with the URL formatting.

I'm starting up a site that will have news articles on it, and I wanted to build it from the beginning to meet their requirements. Unfortunately, when I e-mailed them asking for THEIR advice and what I needed to do to qualify, I got form letter response back stating they can't respond individually to inquiries and "thanks for my input."

Sigh. Anyone know?

Did you write to Google News through the form linked on [news.google.com...]

The contact form for both these FAQs is the same: [google.com...]

That's the contact link I used. And the response I got was a form letter response indicating they didn't have the time to respond to me individually. It wasn't an autoresponder; it took several hours to get to me. I was rather surprised by that sort of response.

All I want right now are the technical requirements -- what form of RSS they want, the URL format, etc., so I can configure the site now. I'm doing all my pages by hand at the moment, but I'm going to a CMS in the next week, and I wanted the info before I set things up.
