Can you get PR whilst still in the sandbox.

Apologies if this has been written before on this forum but I've never seen it documented.

I know you won't appear in the SERPS for competitive keywords whilst in the Sandbox but can you get page rank when the update comes if you're still in said box?

I know PR isn't the be all and end all but I'm sure it'll make my link trading attempts more successful if my site has a bit.

Yes, the toolbar-PR of a new site can change even when poor rankings persist. I have a newish site with PR6 which ranks for nothing in google.
