This is just odd.
The 64.* DC's return about 300 pages from my site.
The 216.* DC's return about 46,000 pages from my site.
And the 66.* return 69,000 pages from my site.
Currently I have about 65,000 pages.
If I go to google.co.uk I get 46,000 pages. If I go to google.com from my US based server I get the same 46,000 results.
It is all very odd and confusing.

As I do on google.com/.co.uk
I am most confused about the page difference between the 64.* set and the 66.* set.
It seems to have a pretty small index of my sites compared to non-BD...
They definately need the crawlers to donate some more crawl data.. the non-BD dc's are showing much larger/fresher index data for all my sites
Its especially apparent on my new site :
BD-184 Pages and has been all for weeks
vs
NON-BD with 694 Pages indexed as new as a day or so ago
This is pretty much the same I have seen at 66.249.93.104 for the last week or so..
Anyone else got BD on their google.com.xx?
One more thing PLEASE reduce the site count topics and now BD is there now there, lets talk when there is something new, of cause the page count is a little messy in such a progress dont think about that yet, if say 0 pages then you have a topic and if BD is there or here dossent matter only when we see a more permanet google.com placement, also ranking is interesting but non yet.
Maybe the switched them off but I am not seeing BD on:

As reported earlier these Data Centres are live with Big Daddy - I just re-tested with sf giants.
Seeing some weird shifting, but at tthe same time nothing dramatic. However, I think the shifting is more intense andI have not caught it yet.
I say this because I have made more today from my referrals than the last 2 weeks combined, either MSN and yahoo are beating google in searchers, or something else is going on..
Here are some quick guidelines as to post types and phrases that
might trigger an action or prevent a pre-moderated post from being approved:Is this the update - has the update ended or - when will the update start?
So let's stick to watching the Data Centers, thanks.
Good morning Folks
We live to learn, share and make friends..
Among the thing which keep facinating me about WebmasterWorld community is the rich information which has been made available for webmasters worldwide.
The more you learn how to search for materials on WebmasterWorld the more you admire those generous webmasters who contributed valuable info within hundreds, maybe thousands of threads.
IMO, the best and shortest way to be a good Google Datacenters Watcher is to study previous updates threads. For example threads related to Allegra, Bourbon and Jagger updates. There you can study how to identify pre-updates signes and indications. And its really facinating readings. Very recommended readings indeed.
Personally, I pay attention to any set/group of DCs which start to show different search results than the rest for my test keywords and keyphrases. Here is today's "harvest ;-)

Wish you all a great day and a friendly discussion.
God bless our WebmasterWorld community
In the past I've definately seen AOL results change prior to an accross the board update on all home page DC's.
All the best for a profitable day
Col :-)
Now its back to normal results.
I have a rather large site where writers post their writings. Because many of the writers post their articles on other sites as well, I'm sure that Google has a hard time knowing which URL to return in their results if two URL's contain very similar content (the original definition of canonicalization).
My site has had a steady increase of traffic nearly every day since BD started rolling out across the DC's. Given that BD is not an update, I don't see any other explanation for my increase in traffic other than G has decided to show my URL instead of others. This is certainly not something I'm complaining about as traffic from G is now up 110% from 3 weeks ago.
Just wondering if anyone else is seeing anything like this in BD?
Yes, all of my websites are fixed and I see no canonicalization. I did have to clean up some old links and pages that are no longer in service with the roll back of the index with the google url link removal.
Addition: Have checked again and results are switching back and forth, so nothing solid yet ... but the signs are good for the 2nd Feb ;-)
Probably switching around like google.co.uk has all month.
For how long you have had canonical problems?
I would have never said that I had canonicalization problems, certainly not the www/non-www type of canonicalization problems.
We've enjoyed good rankings for many of our pages but with BD many more of our pages are ranking well. My theory is that since our site has been around longer than most of the others that have similar content, our pages are now out ranking theirs. I don't know how else to explain that BD has boosted our traffic so greatly.
I had the issue for a few months now. I still am not getting my full site indexed though. One thing I am noticing is that the pages that are not being indexed are the pages I have in froogle and googlebase. Now a very interesting thing I noticed today was when I did a search for a product on one of google's data centers. The first result listed as such:
Product search results for LED MR-16
12 LED MR 16 - $18.62 - Tri North Lighting
24 LED MR 16 - $31.92 - Tri North Lighting
Mr-16 Mr16 Lampholder Led Bulk Pack 50 Count - $79.00 - Paranoic Shopper
Below that it listed information about LED - MR-16 bulbs and not products for sale....
Now I looked at these links and they were all froggle links. We all know that google wants to seperate products for sale versus information about topics. I have noticed a huge surge in traffic today via the froogle links. I would say that there are some large changes in the structure happening. I am glad I have 100% of my items for sale listed in froogle and google base....
I have also noted that other URL's that were there previously for the same keyword, in prime position [first page], no longer exist. One example of this was an auction site that had half of the results for a keyword with only 76 results, belonging to them. The URL's were listed with this keyword, but in different geographical areas. Now they have all gone.
