I’m a web designer wanting to improve my SEO of my site. My site is static and circa seven levels deep. Each level of page has been SEO
I wonder if you could please help me:
Google indexing of deeper level pages: Some of my deeper level pages have been indexed by google. Will google re-crawl the lower level pages independently or will google re-crawl these pages only when it has crawled first the homepage of the site and followed the links to the deeper levels of the site? If the latter is this case should I update regularly my homepage to entice google to re-crawl vertically down my site.
Is keyword repetition advantageous in SEO URLs? I understand that keyword repetition is important in the title tag and meta description tag but is this also relevant for URLs
Length of URL. Due to the folder structure of my site, my deep level page URL’s are quite long though the characters are crawler friendly (i.e. no “%” “&a=#*$!”)
e.g. www.mysite.com/level1/level2/level3/level4/level5/level6/level7/default.htm
Does google have a length limit with regard to URL’s.
mega thank you for your help
Your problem is quite similar to what I had sometime back.
The only solution to keep your deep inner pages get indexed by Google or any crawler, is to get thematic links for those internal pages from other sites.
That's all and all your pages will be updated on SERP's whenever there is a deep crawl on Google. Don't wait for Google to deep crawl indepently from your site.
That's it.
