So today I typed www.google.com and was redirected to www.google.be.

As a person living in NY and not versed in the European languages, it took me a hell of a long time to get things to display in English again like they used to in the good old days (yesterday).

And now my clean home page of www.google.com has been turned into www.google.com/intl/en/. And my search results have a special Belgian flare to them.

Lovely.

Reminded me of this topic: [webmasterworld.com...]

The problem is that topic is from 2002. And now it seems Google has begun it again.

I liked it just the way it was.

Any thoughts on this?

For me it never stopped.

I, however, have discovered that if I search with Google Toolbar taken from US page it seems always uses US Google. So I just search mostly via the toolbar.
