Fewer and fewer results in Google

Hi Folks:

I wonder if anyone has seen anything like this, or can comment on it.

It used to be that site:www.ourdomain.com would show about 19,000 results in Google. Even though we don't have that many pages. I never did fix the www vs. non-www problem when our site dropped out in the Bourbon update. We came back a few weeks later, so I figured Google sorted it out.

After Xmas, we started to show fewer results. First 14,000, then the other week, 10,500, and today we're 9,500.

I don't track all of our top spots, but I did find that at least of our pages that used to get a lot of traffic is actually *missing* from Google right now. Not a drop in rank, it is literally out of the index.

It goes without saying we do no SEO other than naming the pages well, no tricks, link to things normally, and so on.

To add another layer of interest, I checked some of the Big Daddy DC's listed in that thread, and we're showing 19,400 in them.

Just curious if anyone else has seen anything like this, or if this is even normal? It's having some effect on our daily traffic, but its also January, which is one of our lowest months.

Thanks for your input
Hunter
