Pages in Google index

When doing the site: command in google it appears that a clients site has 75000 pages in the web search but only 15500 in pages from the uk search.

When checking competitors sites they come up as equal eg web 75000 uk 75000

Does anybody know the reason for lesser pages in the uk search?

The site is hosted in UK

Any help I will be thankful for.

Also an email address for google to ask them this queston as searched their site and cannot seem to get an email for that kind of query only spam email.

You may find it's a filtering issue. Check the IP address of the site to make sure it's a UK IP.
