Hi All,

Am I right in saying that Google site maps can potentially extend your organic listing?

Top organic listings have been showing more relevant pages within the top indexed position.

i.e. What's On, Booking, About Us, Sign Up

Or is this purely down to an algorithm update?

THANKS,

Brow

Matt Cutts said this is decided algorithmicly and has nothing to do with sitemaps...

I run a site that has long been number one on Google for the search term <sitename> probably due to the domain name and attaching any relevant key words just secures it. In the past week i have noticed these extra links appearing at the bottom of the SERP, although the links Google has chosen are not the most widely used at all.

Any tips on changing what they are? I added a sitemap about a month ago...my pages are structured quite well using H1 H2 meta titles etc etc.

Anybody any clues?

So does anyone know best practice to achieve this and perhaps dictate which pages are highlighted?
