Hi,

For a long time now, I am working on a resource/archive site of a couple of thousand pages big. I am halfway now but I was wondering how to release a site like this. My idea is to release the site with it's many pages at once.

I thought google could "think" it's a spam site or am I just worrying for nothing? What are you're experiences with this?

Thanks in advance

I would make the site live as soon as you posssibly can and then grow it. You still have plenty to do to get it to rank.

Go for it, roll the whole puppy out. I did it and then it still needed some work. It may seem finished or perfect, but I can assure you that once it's live, you'll find plenty of things to improve it, let alone get it to rank by building links and relationships and all that jazz.

Yep..release it now. It's better than Bret's recommendation of at least 100 pages of real content..BUT- make sure there is not even ONE paragraph repeated on any pages...because the dup content filters will get you..especially footers.

If random strings from your pages can be found on other sites, you're going to have problems to begin with.

Also, use copyscape on these pages to make sure they're not duped from other sites.

I prefer to start with a few dozen pages and release two or three a day. More, if the daily crawl goes beyond just the home page.
