hi

thanks, i didnt know if google would make better sense if my url had 3 keywords seperated by '-''s

ie www.the-cheapest-widgets-online.com

would google then consider page names cheapest-widgets.hmtl, and widget-online.html better than if the url was www.cheapestwidgetsonline.com?

thanks

I wouldn't use 'cheapest' in a URL. It looks spammy.

Why not go for a really memorable name rather than tying it to your keywords? Google and Amazon took that appraoch. Overture even moved to that approach (from GoTo).

hi all

thanks - the 'cheapest' was just for reference.

the url will be a mixture of keywords and memorable words, i just wanted to be sure about the use of the '-'

thanks

I started using a "-" about 2 years ago. I'm sure that I remember reading there were penalties before then, but since I have had no issues. I think that it doesn't matter. If you check out google highlighting it highlights single words with a string nowadays.
