Google not available in Germany

Heise reports it down for serveral hours this afternoon

For german users google was unavailable for some hours during the day. I can confirm that I had problems for around 30 minutes.

More interessting is, that other services, which are
tracked by the Google analytics seemed to stop, too.

That was, because the tracking code is in the header of the html file and the browser first loads the tracking, then the page...

I would suggest to put the tracking code ASAP at the end of the page... Google, are you reading?
