Is there a reputable and dedicated place where "delisting victims" can go find out what happened and what to do?
It seems as though most treatments of this topic do not take this matter very seriously. The prevailing thought seems to be "small businesses shouldn't have relied on Google." and large businesses should "just deal with it." In either case, the advice is usually a) the algorithm is constantly changing, b) wait to see what happens, 3) review the Google webmaster guidelines.
It is clear that Google does not want to talk to the public... I called their main phone, used their website, and even called my Ad Words account manager to see if they could route me to a human. All communication channels directed me to a support page 'contact us' form with auto-responder.
In the meantime, affected businesses suffer millions of dollars in losses. Perhaps this is an opportunity for a new form of business disruption insurance!
As a major global organization, Google should treat this matter more responsibly and provide (and possibly monetize) consulting or some level of support for this issue.
Comments and feedback are appreciated.
