My email addy appears at top of Google's home page

I noticed that my email addy appears at the top of google's home page like so:

***@hotmail.com ¦ Personalized Home ¦ My Account ¦ Sign out

Kind of spooky.

When did this start?

I have an adsense account so I suppose it is linked to that, I assume anyone with a gmail account or adwords account etc must be seeing it as well.

Perhaps, but i do not use the personalized search as i want to see what the general public sees. I was just surprised to see this.
