How long does it take to get indexed?

Hi All,

I submitted our site about 2 weeks ago using Googles new sitemap tool. The sitemap tool status says "OK",and one of the googlebots comes through regularly.

Still no listing yet. Is it too soon? Our site is brand new, so there are no links to it as of yet. Will Google ignore us until it finds some links out there? If so, is there any quick and dirty way to get a link someplace so I can get started?
