Many thanks for your input. In my case things seem to have worked out with keywords. I think that I got sandboxed with our main site as we completely renewed the entire site at the wrong time and got treated as a new build. But the case of being totally banned has now been solved (touch wood) by totally removing all meta details except our titles and copyright, which are individual to their pages. Over 3/4 of our pages have been reinstated and the big hitters still hold their pre jagger position.
I'm still holding my breath with the oldest site, but the content is totally different now (mainly self taken images and historic info) and so will probably take the full 9 months to come back. However, Yahoo & Ask have picked it up almost immediately and rank it quite competitively.
Once again many thanks
Colin
After waiting twelve months, our website emerged from the sandbox in September and landed on the first page.....we didn't get to stay there very long though. If we're sliding down now, will we continue to go down further? (Assuming we're not being penalized for something).
It seems that a lot of webmasters on this board are now fixing that which they did not do right the first time.
Google, take your time! Do it right the first time. Keep J3 under control until you have it right. Forget the ranting and raving here. Do it right the first time.
But do be kind enough to keep us advised. This is like being stuck in an airport and not knowind when, or if, your flight will be scheduled.
Yes, we know that the Google competitors are watching this board, and others, and taking all our feedback as lesson materials, so we understand that you must be circumspect. But please give us some idea as to what is going on. Some of us use the money we earn to pay people so we have to have information to plan.
I agree that Google should test, test & test again before release.
With hindsight I wish I had left everything alone back in July. I changed my site over to css and lost all listings. At first I blamed Google for my mistakes, but now I see that the small company cannot expect the larger ones to change just for them.
I have had to cut back on contract staff as it looks as though business will be a long time in returning to pre July levels. But I think this upheaval has made me a lot more realistic about the Internet and for the first time ever I've taken out an ad in a national magazine ... a big step for me.
I now have a new goal ... get big and buy listings ;-)
For me the organic listings are a profit center and support a given staff so I have had to get into them to see what is going on.
Pay per click is fast cash. Do your homework and go. Work it off a low credit limit credit card to start. Too many people ignore it.
Don't rely on search engine position in the organic listings to survive. When you do, you give your life to an algo. It has control. Use pay per click. You are in constant, instant, and all those other words, control.
Look at all the screaming here. People have no control. Get control.
Pay per click, newspapers, articles, and so on. Diversify.

I don't think that the delay is about testing. IMO, its about that the folks at the plex aren't satisfied yet of Jagger3. Moreover Jagger3 was supposed to deal with canonical- and supplementals issues. Maybe the folks at the plex wish to pay those two issues more attention before let Jagger3 migrate to other DCs. Lets hope so.
