Why can I not see them?

the http:// has to be there at least in yahoo.
I have had much more success checking backlinks by using this command:
[uk.search.yahoo.com...] -site:www.MYDOMAIN.co.uk&meta=vc%3D&fl=0&fr=fp-tab-web-t-1&b=1
It's not Google's list, but I think that it gives a better idea of who's linking to you.

Normally very few instances of such does not have an actual link to the site example.com.
Dont agree our site is example.de Google omits the . and the results are mostly in french example de bla bla bla.
Example de Universite etc. Also tried it with quotes .. although I would be happy about the 2,620,000 backlinks lol. No need for G then..
Interesting, you are correct. Google sems to behave differently for .com than .de
However it seems to work if you include the tripple w:
[google.com...]
The command: link "domain.com" does work better on google and on yahoo the command:-
link [domain.com...] works best.
many thanks
