Losing PageRank

Site's pagerank keeps dropping

Hi there,

I would apriciate a general advice/things to check on for problem I have with my two sites - page rank shown on google toolbar keeps dropping. The index page on both sites used to be PR5 and now PR4. Some other pages dropped from PR4 to PR3 and so on. What are the general things to check in this situation?

Generally, unless you continue to develop new incoming links your indicated PageRank will decline over time. As more pages are added to the index, your share of the PageRank of all pages is less.

The best advice, though, is to ignore that little green toy on the toolbar. Maybe click up there on "Options," and uncheck the box next to "PageRank." Pay attention to the quality of your site, and put your effort into getting solid related links.
