PR distribution between '/ 'and index.html and www. / non-www

Should PR vary widely on elements which all resolve to same page?

Tear yourselves away from update watching to help me with this riddle:

[domain.co.uk...] = pr 4
[domain.co.uk...] = pr 4
[domain.co.uk...] = pr 3
[domain.co.uk...] = pr 2

Is this right - all these URLs resolve to the same page. If not, how does one go about fixing it / what's the cause?

Thanks,

Suggy

Check any of the 200 threads posted so far this year that already discuss "301 redirects", "htaccess", "mod_rewrite", "duplicate content", "www and non-www" and "multiple domains".

There is also a pile of stuff in the update threads. I gave the "301 redirect" information at least 5 times in there alone.

While they are all the same page, and IMO Google should know this, they've been having a lot of problems getting it right for a long time now. 301 redirects have been suggested to soon fix it. Read the threads about cannonical URLs for more info.

These threads should help give you an answer how to 301 redirect to the propper urls:

[webmasterworld.com...]
[webmasterworld.com...]

In case you have the same problems I have (// and?useless_string indexed as well), this is worth looking at to:
[webmasterworld.com...]
