I just read an interesting newsletter on the topic of "Google Bowling". Per this source, this would be the act of purchasing large amounts of sitewide links for your competitor, with the intention that this would trip up a Google filter, and assign a penalty to the site and lower its rankings, or worst, get it banned.
Now, IMHO, I do not think Google would so easily allow such a loophole in their "system". But then again..........has anyone been able to observe this or has encountered an incident of "Google Bowling'?
