Google selling 3rd party cookies?

Maybe I am late on the upswing, but I did a search for "best buy" and saw a warning from firefox that a 3rd party cookie from bestbuy.com was trying to plant itself on my computer.

Anyone else see this before?

I tried this out on 2 computers to rule out spyware. It seems Google is selling 3rd party cookies to preferred advertisers.

I blogged on it the other day -- sticky me if you want to read my analysis. Again, I might be late with this analysis, but it's interesting...

I think you'll find that is due to "Prefetch".

Have a look here:

It is quite easy to turn off prefetch in Firefox, not sure about other browsers.
