I recently joined a banner network that seemed very promising and came highly regarded. Soon after I really got slapped hard by Google (from over 2,500 visits a day to about 500) - with many of my search terms whacked way down. Could the ad code/ad server have affected the way Google treats my site? It is the only major change I have made that I can think of. On one page where I did not place this code my certain SERP went from #1 to #2 - but for some other SERPs I went from #1 to #45 or worse, etc. Any ideas out there?
