Age old no cache homepage issue

Is there a consensus yet on this?

Just noticed this morning that the homepage of a site I work with has lost its cache in Google. It just shows the URL and nothing more. The rankings have not been affected at all and the site is really as clean as it gets (not much SEO put into it). It is a PR5 if that matters to anyone and has been around since 1998.

Now I'm inclined to think this is just a glitch and that the cache will be back in a day or two. However, I haven't really had this problem before on any of my sites.

I know this issue has been brought up before on here and never really seems to have a consensus answer. Any feedback on this situation would be appreciated.

Wish I had an answer -- lots of examples like this have been surfacing for a while. Sometimes they go away, as if it was a glitch, and other times they just hand around.

Only thing I know of that you can do is make sure you have no server issues - that googlebot is getting the full page when it asks for it.
