Yesterday I've added my clients' site to one of the 2nd tier directories, which was around for about five years, shows PR7 for home page and has quite a few paid inclusions.

Today my clients site appeared in the listing. And, WOW, a newly creaded page shows PR6 in G Toolbar.

I've checked PR with a 3rd party PR checker and it gave me 0.

So I've asked the Directory admin to clarify the above matter.

Here is an interesting answer that I received:

"The page shows PR6 (I guess you are looking at the Google toolbar for that) because as I say, the toolbar doesn't lookup every page, it makes a "best guess" based on homepage PR, and so Google is guessing that this page is a PR6."

Any comments?
