Google Groups results

Out of date or what

I've just been checking out Google and I saw something that hadn't registered before - Google Groups results at the bottom of the page. I'm sure everyone will tell me they've been around for ages but it is the first time they've registered with me.

I was only searching to see if my previously buried site actually appeared for its own name. So I get 3 results from Google groups at the bottom of the page - from May 06, 2001, Oct 14, 1998, Dec 25, 1998. As much use as a chocolate teapot.
