I have had a top ranking page for 4 years in Google for highly competetive keywords (intro sound familar?). As part of a site update, I would like to change all my font from "Times New Roman" to "Arial" in order to give the site a more modern look. This may be a silly question but can this affect positions on the SERPS.
If the site has been indexed and in favor for such a period of time, is the font type a part of the Google positive attributes. It is often theorized that Google may prefer content from educational reference sites, many of which use TNR font. Most commercial sites tend to use Arial or cleaner fonts for the impact. I would like to make this change all at once too.
Any thoughts are appreciated....Thank You
I can not see why a font change should make any difference, of course if you use the <font> tag then you are altering the coding on the page and this *may* make a difference.
