Noticed Google Dir. is updating site titles and descriptions today. Could be an indication of a soon to come toolbar PR export and Google Dir. PR update. The funny thing is last time the Directory updated PR I ended up with a number higher than my actual site TB PR.

Anyone else see changes in the GD title or description or PR?

Yes, I just noticed PR6 for one of my websites. Also they synchronised listing I changed few months ago with one on DMOZ site.

had a site go live last week.. got included into dmoz within 1-2 days of submission, 3-4 days later Google's showing its dmoz snippet. fast! now just to wait 2 years until the domain is allowed to rank. </sarcasm>

I think google updated its directory around Sept 11, as I mentioned here:

All the changes I saw the GD make before are now gone and back to the original wording. Each of the three site descriptions and titles that were previously updated in Google Dir are now back to pre updated status like nothing happened. Darn Google!

Doesnt mean much only that Google is definately doing something with their directory, and has been for awhile now.

Apart from the occasional 2 or 3 week run of failures (usually due to internal data corruption on a bad entry - a stray non-UTF-8 listing that reappears in the public side from a duff edit somewhere), which happens just a couple of times per year, the ODP is, in general, getting a new RDF dump out every week or so now, and has been doing so for the last year or two - so the time from ODP listing to Google Directory listing could now be well under a month. However, Google runs the updates according to their own schedule, which they don't communicate either to the public or back to ODP editors (and neither do any of the other hundreds of data users for that matter).

Thanks DUDE, I like TOTALLY said...

Considering my first post on this topic was 2 weeks ago I think I may already be aware of the timeline.

Just posting what I notice, as far as changes in GD, so that it can be documented for later analysis by anyone interested in guessing G's directory update schedule.

I appreciate the notice you posted, it would help people who did not read the whole thread, it just seemed like a waste of space to me thats all.

Please read carefully you may miss something important, dude!
