Major algo tweak in serps

I don't know if anyone else is seeing it in their industry but as of this morning I'm seeing some pretty big changes:

Mainly: Individual pages seem to take more priority over index page than before. i.e before today our index page was position 5 and "page.htm" was position 11. Now "page.htm" is number 8 and index page is number 13.

Also it's not just our site, most of our competitors are affected too. More than likely every body who was in top 20 yesterday still is but in a very different order.

Yes -- and another shift later in the week as well. But I think it's just experiments and dial twisting, not a new algo.
