After making serveral ecommerce website without success(so far), I plan to build a information website with income generated from Adsense. The site(travel related) is based in a heavily competitive niche(the top sites have PR 7 and 6s with more than 160,000 index pages)
1) Is it possible to get on the first page of the SERP without using a SEO firm? How long will it take?
2) If I use a SEO firm(I have a $10,000 budget), will I have a good chance of getting into the top 10?
