with and without "&btnG=Search" at Google

What is the difference?

Hi Folks,

Here is what jumped out in my PC today :-O, doing a site:www.example.com search for my own website (I use all the time the Google Toolbar), but for some reason today I had already Google homepage in my browser, so, I just entered my query there and clicked on"Search", then togheter with results I saw a small mesage at the top :

Tip: Save time by hitting the return key instead of clicking on "search"

I have never see it before, so for my next query I di hit "Enter", big surprise!, Google claims to have 9,210 pages for my web site in this way, while clicking on "Search" comes with 999, which is more accurate (mi site is about 1,200 pages).

Going furter I can see that the only difference seems to be the "&btnG=Search" at the end of the URL when you click it, so, are the results comming from a different index when you click than when you hit Enter?

have anybody seen this before?

and after two days, a relocation and an edition (I don't remember anything against the TOS), this topic sees the ligth. And I didn't even get a PM or a reason for the edition? :grrr

So sad...

Anyway, has anybody seen the above behavior?
