Are they changing in the right direction?

I have had a site hit hard by a recent update, lost lots of positions etc, but there has been one thing that is really odd, the cache date are changing but in the opposite directrion - last cache update was 18 Aug, but now is showing 15 July!

The cache is showing the lastest page as I have made a few changes recently, so what is google doing - I have noticed a few posts about this - I have checked a few DC's and its the same.

Any Ideas on what G is up to?

In most datacentres I see a cache from just a few weeks ago, but for some datacentres (for the last few months) I have been seeing a cache from nearly a year ago.

That old data is now spreading across the datacentres.
